Just like the heading says, I do have a logo/brand I would love to use for my website and potentiality implement it in other places on the internet. But with the internet being so vast and full of uncertenty, you never know who to trust without the human interaction. My biggest concern to having the logo all over my site is theft.
The logo came to me by accident on my laptop one day while visiting my mother-in-law. I just happened to have the Microsoft Paint 3D open on my laptop just absent mindlessly doodling with the calligraphy pen. When I realized the last thing I had doodled, I became intrigued of the doodle. I sat there and looked at it for a while. (less than 30 seconds) A light bulb popped on and I instantly became excited and wanted to use it in my website.
For the past month and a half, the logo has been kind of a staple on my site during the process of building it. I had the logo in various places through out my website. Places that some may never have thought of placing a logo. Ideas just come to mind of wanting to place my logo at a specific place and I usually make it happen.
Getting towards the end of building my website and ready to launch it to the world, the word copyright came to mind. There are some people out there who are just plain lazy and steel other people’s work and claim it as their own. That’s something that I don’t want to risk and have to deal with the consequences later. By putting a copyright on my logo, it makes it legal binding and I can take legal actions if someone infringes on my logo. Plus, it keeps a piece of mind knowing my logo is copyright protected and should “ward off” anyone who might think about using it as their own.
Until then, I’ll just have to deal with having no logos anywhere. I decided that I don’t want to keep my site from getting launched because of a logo.
